Evolutionary Anatomy with a Shamanic Totem Pole: Gait Applications

In gait, we want full usage of our spine. Learning to pretend we are snakes may be an effective means to help us discover new ways of evolving our kinetic embodiment of this complex anatomical core.

In gait, our arms interact with the air, similar to the wings of a bird. Learning to pretend we are birds may be an effective way to discover new ways of evolving our interactions with this medium.

In gait, our legs interact with the earth, similar to the legs of a horse. Learning to pretend we are horses may be an effective way to discover new ways of evolving this medium-body region conversation.

In gait, the interactions of our energetic and physical bodies can be explored. A medium so familiar may be highly effective in smoothing the rocky terrain known to be encountered in such lofty pursuits as organic transformations of consciousness. Birth is blunt, how can we smooth it out?

Learning to combine these into some sort of totem pole could be an interesting approach to exploring human potential and collecting copious complex clues to organic movement from some of our close relatives.
