AEOD: Astrological Embodiment Of the Day 12/12/2022

Current Planetary Positions 2022 PST 12/12-13:

Sun in Sagittarius: Core Identity in Hips and Thighs

Moon in Leo: Emotional Needs in Upper Back, Chest, and Spine

Mercury in Capricorn: Thinking and Communication in Knees, Joints, and Skeleton

Venus in Capricorn: Values and Aesthetics in Knees, Joints, and Skeleton

Mars in Gemini: Actions originate from Arms, Hands, and Lungs

Jupiter in Pisces: Faith in Feet and Fat

Saturn in Aquarius: Commitment in Ankles, Calves, and Circulatory System

Uranus in Taurus: Liberation in Neck, Throat, and Shoulders

Neptune in Pisces: Spirituality in Feet and Fat

Pluto in Capricorn: Obsession in Knees and Skeletal System

Moon guides the “working in” or Yin phases: Warm up and cool down with stretching and mobilizing the spine, scapulae, and ribcage. See below for video demonstrations of some suggestions, and some links for more resources on this style of work.

Sun guides the “working out” or Yang phases: Work out focused on the hips and thighs. Light Kettlebell Swings.

Mars tells us where the action starts: with the hands and arms. Light Kettlebells being the implement means the action starts with the hand (Gemini).

Light Kettlebells create a container to transfer energy along the oppositional alignment of Gemini (hands/arms) and Sagittarius (hips/thighs). Heavier KB’s would also, but tire you out quickly and thus limit exploratory freedom in the initial learning stages many of you are likely at.

Saturn tells us where we are putting in work: on our ankles and circulatory system. The feet and ankles will get a lot of work with light KB’s as they do not require the levels of strength and effort through the hip/thigh/low back complex. This allows for more reps in a wider variety of planes that would not be safe with heavier kettlebells. Lighter KB’s also encourage more reps and challenging effects on the circulatory system, another anatomical correspondence of Aquarius. See below for video demonstrations of some suggestions.

Uranus tells us where to find freedom. The throat, scapula, and neck may yearn for freedom over the course of Uranus transiting Taurus, as well as their archetypal correlates more easily seen on broad cultural levels. To engage the body in a way that increases freedom of these areas, I suggest Reichean breathwork exercises for the throat, scapula and neck. See below for video demonstrations of some suggestions. Uranus is loosely in square aspects with both the Moon in Leo and Saturn in Aquarius, suggesting some space needed between the freedom-forward work of the throat, neck, and scapulae; and both the deep feeling agenda of the spine/chest/ribcage and hardening agenda of the ankles. The Moon and Saturn oppose each other, suggesting a potential cooperation possible between the contrasting approaches, and Uranus squares them both, needing separation from both to pursue it’s goals, while still being energized by the Saturnian and Lunar pursuits. In short, don’t do the Reichean exercise in the same session as the Lunar mobility/stretching or Sun/Saturn light kettlebell swinging work.
